Ellie Kayu Ng

Lives and works in New York
She received her BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts and her MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art. She is interested in employing clothing as a language, and finds joy in experimenting, creating and communicating various identities through wearing the outfits she wishes to own on canvases, where rules and norms don’t apply. Being a grant recipient from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, Ellie also had her first solo exhibition in New York at VillageOne Art Gallery in 2022 and was included in other group exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Brussels, Paris, and Tokyo galleries. Her works were shown in juried exhibitions-in-prints, such as New American Paintings and Friend of the Artist.
